What You Are Really Paying for at the Counter, and How We Took It Out

What You Are Really Paying for at the Counter, and How We Took It Out

Concession recovery, facility charges, toll devices and fuel 'convenience'. A plain-language guide to the line items that inflate a rental, and why our quotes do not have them.

A rental quote can grow by a third between the website and the counter. The reasons are rarely illegal, but they are rarely explained either.

The usual suspects

Airport concession recovery fees, customer facility charges, toll transponder rentals and pre-paid fuel at an inflated rate. Each is small; together they are not.

Our approach

Every mandatory fee is in the first price you see. Optional items are optional, and shown with their real cost before you confirm.

From the concierge desk

Tell us your flight number when you book and your host will track it. If the plane is late, the car waits; if it is early, so are we.
